This World Census, for those special persons that carry the Holy Quraan in their hearts, began on the afternoon of the 4th of June 2018 (19th Ramadan 1439).
It has always been a curiosity of mine to get to know some hard figures regarding this great gift of memorising the Holiest of Books. And so with a few setups, the census got rolling. By the evening of Day 1, the number rose to 854 Huffaaz and has been rising steadily ever since.
We currently have Huffaaz who have filled in the census thus far from:
South Africa – India – France – USA – Zambia – Panama – Venezuela – Canada – Britain – Trinidad/Tobago – Pakistan – Kenya – Zimbabwe – Swaziland – Uganda – Barbados – New Zealand – Australia – Singapore – Yemen – Afghanistan – Bangladesh – Botswana – Mauritius – Mozambique – Somalia – Lesotho – Nigeria..
The census could probably run from a few months to maybe a few years, depending on feedback from you. The end figure would be an approximate figure, since not all persons have access to technology globally.
A question was asked, so what purpose will such a census serve? Well the first words that come to each of our lips when seeing the figures is ‘Alhamdulillah’ what kindness and mercy God Almighty has showered upon us. Secondly, it serves as an encouragement and strength to each one of us that God has blessed our surroundings and communities with so many that honour and carry His book in their hearts.
So, remember to continue sharing the link below on all your social media.
I thank you for your support and interest in this census.
Thanks / Shukran
