Feel like you stuck doing the same things day in and day out for decades? Same thoughts, job, clothes, food and recreational activities?
Getting the feeling that you not moving forward in life, your dreams and life goals are fading away?
Change doesn’t come to mind, and you just go on with the usual day-to-day pattern?
Well, you might just, be ‘stuck in time’!
So what do I mean? Well, you might be very relaxed and settled, but deep down you have a heap of things that you wish could happen for you, but, you too drained out to bother.
You could continue in this fashion till old age and it probably won’t be so bad, but seriously, you only get one chance in life. Are you willing to settle for less?
Here’s some great tips to shift the paradigm:
1. Make a wish list
Allow yourself to plot down on paper all that you aspire to do over the next few months or years. Keep the list in a place where your eyes can see it daily, like next to the mirror or your bedroom table. Work on the first item on the list and set a time limit towards achieving it. Strike out the item once you’ve reached the goal. This system will allow you to make the necessary changes you desire in your life in an organised and focused way.
2. Life is short
Thinking about this temporary abode is actually a good thing. I don’t mean in a morbid or panic-stricken way, but lets face it, life is unpredictable and death is inevitable. Having this in the back of your mind allows you to make the best of your time and motivates you to accomplish your goals. It’s an excellent way to snap you out of monotony.
3. Exercise regularly
I often revert to this and rightly so. It’s a proven way to get you ‘jumping’ and ‘bubbly about life’ again. A regular exercise programme is excellent in breaking the usual tired routine that you desire to change. It gives you the mental and physical strength to think bigger and to be more productive. In fact, it programmes you, to sleep less, eat correctly and repel boredom and lethargy.
So, what are you waiting for? Let’s start with the 3 things above and let those unproductive hours start melting away..
