Sweet wait…

“Patience is not the ability to wait, but the ability to keep a ‘Good Attitude’ while waiting” (Unknown)

We all have our fair share of life’s challenges, sickness, sadness, death, financial problems, relationships, family, worry, and sorrow. Some of us know how to handle these tests and situations, simply through innate qualities that allow us to patiently wait out the issue, and in reality, many others are not so able or strong to understand and absorb situations in a healthy way.

So what are some key elements to being patient at the right moments? Here’s some helpful tips:

1. Humans are ‘hard-wired’

There is nothing out there in the world of humans or no challenge that the human species, thus far, have not faced and survived. We are ‘built tough’ and we can adapt, change and win over any situation. We just need to be patient, no matter how bad the situation is, it will improve and you will see the positive results of it.

2. Read and Research

Someone out there has definitely been through it or even worse. Shared experiences are great for healing and for seeking guidance and patience. You will find that the person/s involved in similar challenges as you, have experimented and worked out unique ways of dealing with the situation. Talk about it, link up via social media groups or on the net and gather strength from them.

3. Practise Patience

Like anything in this world, patience too can be attained through regular practise. Tell yourself in times of need to calm down and be patient. Remind yourself to be composed and tolerant at all times. Think of the bigger picture and always place things in their right perspective. Don’t let small things upset you. The more patience you practise, the more wiser you become and you will begin to see things in their clear perspective.

So, these are sweet qualities that come to those who patiently endure. Be one of them, for all it takes is a little patience and practise!
