Things can get challenging for people living in large cities and suburbs. Over population, lack of resources, traffic jams etc. Commuters are often tired after a long days work. You could be really hot and bothered and getting home to your ‘cosy cove’ is all that’s on your mind. A welcoming shower, hot food and some time to relax…
But, anxiousness to return home could sometimes be shuttered. You could be returning furious and utterly disappointed.
“Did I really see him do that, my word…he’s crazy”
His car window opens quite casually, out comes his hand, in busy traffic, at a large intersection, and he calmly chucks out his empty chips packet and juice bottle…straight onto the floor.
“Come on, in broad-daylight !” You scream out in your mind, ” Litter bug !”
It’s so common. Some people simply don’t care. They throw out their junk onto the streets in all leisure, as if cities are naturally supposed to be full of litter at the end of a working day. Spare a thought for the street cleaners, some of them work through loads of litter for hours, at a meagre wage.
Dear Citizen – Let’s try and resist the temptation to throw things out on to our streets…
Keep a packet or tiny bin in your vehicle and dispose of it at home, it’s the decent thing to do!
